Abstract

A controller calculates, on the basis of map data and a loading amount of a vehicle, a return power amount that is a power amount required to travel from each point on a travelling route to a charging point that is a point provided with a power supply, before the vehicle starts to travel on the travelling route from the charging point to a predetermined destination, calculates a predicted power amount serving as a battery remaining amount of the power storage device at each point on the travelling route from a current position of the vehicle to the predetermined destination, while the vehicle is travelling along the travelling route toward the predetermined destination, and changes the destination of the vehicle from the predetermined destination to another destination when there is a point where the predicted power amount falls below the return power amount among points on the travelling route from the current position to the predetermined destination.
