Abstract

Provided are an apparatus and method for estimating a data gap. The method is performed by a processor of the apparatus (150) for estimating a data gap and includes collecting pieces of time series data related to batteries from battery management systems (210) which are provided in a plurality of devices (200) using the batteries as power sources and which monitor states of the batteries, determining a device in which data is missing in a random time period and thus a data gap duration occurs, as a target device (200_1) from among the plurality of devices (200), generating estimated data regarding the data gap duration occurring in the target device (200_1), and providing the target device (200_1) with a result of generating the estimated data regarding the data gap duration.
