Abstract

A battery management apparatus disclosed herein includes a plurality of temperature sensors configured to respectively measure temperatures of a plurality of battery cells, a memory configured to cumulatively store temperature data and time data of the plurality of battery cells, received from the plurality of temperature sensors, and a controller configured to obtain battery degradation data by applying a battery degradation weight value to the temperature data and the time data and determine degradation degrees of the plurality of battery cells by comparing the battery degradation data with degradation reference data.
