Abstract
A measurement device (10) comprises: a light projector (22) that emits light; a light receiver (32) that has a light receiving surface (34) for receiving reflected light that is the light emitted from the light projector that has returned after being reflected off an object being measured, the light receiving surface including a plurality of photon-counting light receiving elements arranged in an array; and a controller (42). The controller executes: a histogram generation process for generating a histogram on the basis of output values from the plurality of light receiving elements; a light reception timing estimation process for estimating a light reception timing of the reflected light on the basis of a first reach timing at which the histogram first reaches an intermediate value between the maximum value and the minimum value of the waveform of the histogram, and a second reach timing at which the histogram next reaches the intermediate value; and an output process for outputting information corresponding to the distance to the object being measured on the basis of a light projection timing at which the light projector emits the light and the light reception timing.
