Abstract

An electronic wind instrument (1) includes an index value calculating part (500) and a performance control part (501). The index value calculating part is configured to calculate an intensity index value (Vr) corresponding to a first exhaled air intensity (V1) based on an intensity of exhaled air blown into a first air inlet (310) and a second exhaled air intensity (V2) based on an intensity of exhaled air blown into a second air inlet (311) provided in proximity to the first air inlet. The performance control part is configured to start sounding of a musical sound based on an other pitch that is a pitch different from a key pitch in a case where the intensity index value calculated by the index value calculating part is equal to or greater than a first pitch change threshold (Tcrd), the key pitch being a pitch corresponding to an operation on an operator.
