Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an electrode for a rechargeable lithium battery, and a preparing method thereof. An electrode includes an electrode current collector, and an electrode active material layer on the electrode current collector. The electrode active material layer includes an active material and a first composite conductive material. The first composite conductive material includes a first carbon nanostructure and a first polymer chemically bonded to a surface of the first carbon nanostructure. The first polymer includes a first structural unit derived from a (meth)acrylic acid-based monomer or a salt thereof; a second structural unit derived from a (meth)acrylonitrile-based monomer; and a third structural unit derived from a zwitterionic monomer.
