Abstract

Disclosed is a battery pack, which includes a plurality of battery modules; a pack case configured to accommodate the plurality of battery modules therein; a cooling channel provided inside a bottom plate of the pack case; cross beams configured to form a wall between the battery modules so that the battery modules are arranged in partitioned spaces, respectively; and a cooling path blocking unit configured to selectively block a cooling channel located under a certain battery module when a thermal event occurs in the certain battery module among the battery modules.
