Disclosed is a battery module. The battery module includes a frame providing a space therein; a plurality of battery cells positioned inside the frame; and a barrier configured to cover at least one of the plurality of battery cells, the barrier including an insulation member having a plurality of holes and a case accommodating the insulation member and having an interior configured as a vacuum.
