Abstract

The present invention provides an electrical adapter system (1000) for a busbar system, comprising:a base module (100) and a mounting module (200);the mounting module (200) comprising a mounting surface (230) for mounting an electrical device (3000) thereto, the mounting module (200) and the base module (100) being configured such that the mounting module (200) is attachable, by being moved along an attaching direction (D), to the base module (100) within the trough-shaped recess (111);wherein the base module housing (100) is formed with first openings (121-i) for device connection terminals (142-i), each first opening (121-i) having a first portion (122-i) for allowing a first end (32-i) of a respective first connector element (31-i) of the electrical device (3000) to enter when being moved along the attaching direction (D), and a second portion (123-i) that extends from the corresponding first portion (122-i) along the attaching direction (D) for allowing the first ends (32-i) of the first connector elements (31-i) to travel along in the attaching direction (D).
