Abstract
A diode (23) used for ensuring unidirectional current flow in a DC-DC boost converter (40) is also used for protecting a circuit (3) including the DC-DC boost converter (40) against wrong polarity of a power source (11) of the circuit (3). A further diode (26) in the DC-DC boost converter (40) protects a driver (24) and a reference voltage source (21) of the DC-DC boost converter (40) against wrong polarity of the power source (11) of the circuit (3).
