Abstract

Embodiments of this disclosure provide CSI report generation and reception methods, and apparatuses thereof. The report generation method includes: receiving channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration information and CSI report configuration information, wherein, the CSI-RS resource configuration information is used to configure at least one CSI-RS resource set, one CSI-RS resource set in the at least one CSI-RS resource set including Y CSI-RS resources, and the CSI report configuration information includes M pieces of sub-configuration information, where Y and M are integers greater than or equal to 1; and generating a CSI report according to the CSI-RS resource configuration information and the CSI report configuration information, wherein the CSI report includes N CSI-RS resource indices (CRIs), where N is an integer greater than or equal to 1.
