Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, apparatus and system for processing a sidelink radio link failure, the method including: when a first remote device detects a sidelink radio link failure (SL RLF) for a second remote device or an upper layer in the first remote device requests to release a PC5 RRC connection between the first remote device and the second remote device, releasing a PC5 RRC connection or a PC5 unicast link or a PC5 RLC channel between the first remote device and a relay device; or retaining a PC5 RRC connection or a PC5 unicast link or a PC5 RLC channel between the first remote device and a relay device, and performing processing related to the radio link failure. Thereby, in a case where an end-to-end sidelink radio link failure occurs in UE-to-UE relay, a lower layer may be avoided from continuing to transmit data, radio resources of a sidelink may be avoided from wasting, and processing complexity and power consumption of a UE are reduced.
