Abstract
The present invention relates to a system for preparing a pharmaceutical radioactive hydrogel comprising (i) at least one hydrophilic polymer, particularly at least one polysaccharide derived from chitosan or hyaluronic acid, bearing at least one chelating group and (ii) at least one therapeutical radionuclide chelatable with said chelating group. It further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising said hydrophilic polymer and said therapeutical radionuclide chelated with the chelating group Rc of said hydrophilic polymer, their use for treatment of solid cancer, preferably by brachytherapy.
