Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method for operating a steering system for a vehicle, wherein the steering system is operable in at least two steering capability modes, each steering capability mode characterized by at least one steering capability limit, wherein the method comprises: obtaining data indicative of the steering system reaching the steering capability limit of a steering capability mode of the at least two steering capability modes; and in response to obtaining the data, causing a corresponding feedback to the driver via a torque of a steering wheel of the car. Further, the present disclosure relates to a corresponding data processing apparatus, a corresponding computer program, and a corresponding computer-readable storage medium. Additionally, the present disclosure relates to a steering system for a vehicle and to the vehicle.
