Abstract

A particle includes a porous structure including at least one of a cellulose or a cellulose derivative as a main component, and a degradation promoter carried in the porous structure, in which a volume-average particle diameter of particles is 0.05 µm or more and 1,000 µm or less, a BET specific surface area of the particle is 1 m<2>/g or more and 150 m<2>/g or less, a degree of hydrophobicity of the particle is 0.1% or more and 30% or less, and a content of the degradation promoter with respect to 100 parts by mass of the porous structure is 1 part by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less.
