Abstract
The present invention relates to a recycled vegetable oil and to a process for obtaining it by the treatment of a waste cooking oil with a mixture of magnesium silicate and an alkali and subsequent treatment with a zeolite. The invention also relates to the use of the recycled oil as lubricant or as cooling liquid. The invention also relates to a lubricant composition comprising the recycled oil ant to its use for lubrication of mechanical devices, for example, bicycle, electric bicycle or motorbike chains, or for the lubrication of other transmission chains, chainsaws or garden cutters.
