Abstract
Provided is a multilayer ceramic capacitor that allows for a reduction in manufacturing costs while achieving an increase in the effective area of internal electrodes, which contributes to generation of capacitance. A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a multilayer body 12, first internal electrode layers 16a exposed at a first end surface 12e of the multilayer body 12, and second internal electrode layers 16b exposed at a second end surface 12f of the multilayer body 12. The first internal electrode layers 16a are exposed at a first lateral surface 12c and a second lateral surface 12d of the multilayer body 12. The second internal electrode layers 16b are exposed at the first lateral surface 12c and the second lateral surface 12d of the multilayer body 12.
