Abstract

An insulating composition according to one embodiment of the disclosure is an insulating composition including solids in an amount of 35% by weight or less based on the total weight, the solids include inorganic particles, a polymer material, and clay, the clay has positive charges and negative charges distributed within particles thereof and is included in an amount of 0.01 to 10 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the solid content, and the polymer material includes a functional group-containing polymer. The insulating composition has low viscosity at high shear rates and high viscosity at low shear rates, thereby providing excellent coating processability and enabling formation of a narrow insulation width by minimizing sliding portions during insulating layer formation, which can prevent the problem of reversal of the positive electrode/negative electrode capacity ratio that may occur due to sliding portions.
