Abstract
A stator core (20) for a rotary electric machine and having a cylindrical shape centered on a central axis (CA) may include: a plurality of core blocks aligned in an axial direction (z) parallel to the central axis (CA), wherein each core block includes a plurality of electromagnetic steel plates (25) stacked in the axial direction (z) and integrated by being crimped; and a plurality of welded portions (22) arranged on an outer peripheral surface (22s) of the stator core (20), in which each welded portion (22) extends in the axial direction (z), in which the core blocks include a first block (CB1) located farthermost on one side of the axial direction (z) and a second block (CB2) located farthermost on another side of the axial direction (z), and total length of the welded portions (22) on the outer peripheral surface (CB2s) of the second core block (CB2) is shorter than a total length of the welded portions (22) on the outer peripheral surface (CB1s) of the first core block (CB1).
