Abstract

Examples of the present disclosure relate to methods, apparatuses, and computer programs for route control and for determining a route for a data packet to be transmitted in a communication network. The method (10) for route control and for determining a route for a data packet to be transmitted from a first node to a second node in a communication network comprises obtaining (11) a first network address for the first node and a second network address for the second node and obtaining (12) transmission requirements for the data packet. The method (10) further comprise determining (13) the route from the first node to the second node via a plurality of intermediate nodes based on the transmission requirements.
