Abstract

A method and apparatus for transmitting a notification in a vessel using metal body communication are provided. The apparatus for transmitting a notification in a vessel using metal body communication includes a communication circuit configured to communicate with a wireless communication relay device for performing metal body communication, a processor, and memory storing instructions executable by the processor, wherein, when the instructions are executed by the processor, the apparatus is configured to receive information about an event occurring in the vessel, determine, based on at least one of a type and a risk level of the event, a notification recipient to which a notification message about the event is transmitted, and transmit, through the wireless communication relay device, the notification message to one or more radios corresponding to the determined notification recipient.
