Abstract

Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and apparatuses for a proximity-aware wireless scanning procedure for a wireless-enabled computing device. The proximity-aware wireless scanning procedure detects whether a user is within a predefined proximity of the computing device. Then, based on the detection, the proximity-aware wireless scanning procedure reduces, based on the user detected beyond the predefined proximity of the computing device, a frequency of a scanning procedure of a wireless communication circuitry of the computing device and increases, based on the user detected within the predefined proximity of the computing device, the frequency of the scanning procedure of the wireless communication circuitry.
