Abstract

Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and a related device, and may be applied to a case in which transmission conflicts with a measurement gap. In the method, first information is sent, where the first information is used to indicate one or more of the following: a priority of first data is higher than a priority of a measurement gap, a priority of a first channel is higher than the priority of the measurement gap, or a priority of a first resource is higher than the priority of the measurement gap. The measurement gap is related to a gap (GAP), or the measurement gap is understood as a measurement interval corresponding to a measurement GAP. A network device sends, to a terminal device, the first information related to the priority of the measurement gap, so that the terminal device can perform data transmission based on the first information, to address a conflict between the data transmission and the measurement gap.
