Abstract
An apparatus is described, where the apparatus may include: an interface configured to communicate with a first further communication device attachable to a communication device and a second further communication device external to the communication device and the first further communication device; and a processor configured to: determine a result representing whether the first further communication device is in an idle mode; instruct, based on the result, the first further communication device to perform channel measurements; obtain channel measurement results of the first further communication device from the interface; and configure the interface with a configuration that is based on the channel measurement results of the first further communication device to communicate with the second further communication device.
