Abstract
A string for a racket includes a filament. The filament includes a polymer matrix and carbon nanotubes dispersed in the polymer matrix. The polymer matrix is formed from one thermoplastic polymer or two or more thermoplastic polymers compatible with each other. A racket includes the string for a racket. A method of producing the string for a racket includes: dispersively mixing the carbon nanotubes into a first thermoplastic polymer; obtaining a thermoplastic composition by mixing the first thermoplastic polymer, in which the carbon nanotubes are dispersed, and a second thermoplastic polymer compatible with the first thermoplastic polymer; and obtaining the filament by melt-spinning the thermoplastic composition.
