Abstract

A computer is caused to: acquire first data based on a two-dimensional operation position of a stick of an input device including a mouse sensor at a bottom portion thereof, the stick being provided at a side portion connected to the bottom portion; and make a first response including second data generated based on the first data, in response to a first request from an application being executed. The second data indicates a value that (i) has a greater absolute value as a two-dimensional operation position of the stick becomes farther from an initial position of the stick, (ii) indicates a negative value when the two-dimensional operation position of the stick is within a first range, and (iii) indicates a positive value when the two-dimensional operation position of the stick is within a second range on the opposite side of the first range across the initial position.
