Abstract

A game apparatus that executes a game in which a character appears, includes: an execution unit that executes the game; a display control unit that causes a display unit to display the character; and an operation input unit that receives an operation input for the game. The operation input unit is capable of receiving at least a first operation input related to switching of a display mode of a display element related to the character and a second operation input related to selection of a game element acting on the character, and on condition that the first operation input is received, the display control unit switches and displays a display mode of the display element, and the execution unit changes a type of the game element selectable by the second operation input.
