Abstract

The present invention relates to heat-transfer composition comprising a base fluid comprising an alcohol selected from the group consisting of monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, pentaethylene glycol, hexaethylene glycol, monopropylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, dipropylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, tetrapropylene glycol, pentapropylene glycol, hexapropylene glycol, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, tetrahydrofurfuryl, ethoxylated furfuryl, dimethyl ether of glycerol, sorbitol, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, trimethylolpropane, methoxyethanol, glycerol and mixtures thereof; a polyol amine with a molecular weight less than 500 g/mol; and a S-based compound. The invention further relates to methods of exchanging heat and uses of the heat transfer composition of the invention.
