Abstract

A vessel (101) for use in an energy exchange unit (100) is described. The vessel (101) comprises an inner surface (150). At least a portion of the inner surface (150) is provided with a protective material (200) to prevent damage to a balloon (160) fixed within the vessel (101) and further contacting the inner surface (150) of the vessel (101) when the balloon (160) is expanded. In some embodiments, the protective material (200) prevents the balloon from entering an assembly gap between different parts forming the vessel.
