Abstract
Embodiments of the disclosure provide generative AI-based techniques for generating and adjusting travel pathways to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) impact. In the context of a method, the method includes obtaining travel pathway data, the travel pathway data comprising environmental data in accordance with a travel pathway candidates for traversing between an origin and a destination; generating a travel pathway via a generative AI model and based on the travel pathway data and travel pathway candidates, wherein: a model reward function is based on a negative weighted summation of at least one greenhouse emission estimate and an estimated efficiency of the vehicle pursuant to a respective travel pathway candidate; and the travel pathway is configured to optimize GHG impact and efficiency of the vehicle as the vehicle traverses to the destination; and causing the vehicle to traverse from the origin to the destination in accordance with the travel pathway.
