Abstract
A battery diagnostic device according to an embodiment disclosed herein includes a transistor electrically connected to a first charge/discharge line of a battery pack through a first terminal and electrically connected to a second charge/discharge line of the battery pack through a second terminal, a plurality of base resistors electrically connected to the transistor, the first charge/discharge line and the second charge/discharge line, a switching unit connected to at least one of the first charge/discharge line or the second charge/discharge line and disposed on a low side, and a diagnostic unit connected to the switching unit to diagnose a short-circuit failure of the switching unit based on a voltage difference across the switching unit.
