Abstract
A battery management apparatus disclosed herein includes a communication unit configured to receive battery data of a battery cell and a control unit configured to derive a voltage average for each of a plurality of sections included in the battery data, input some of voltage averages for the plurality of sections to a training model based on self-supervised learning, and detect whether the battery cell is defective by using voltage prediction values output by the training model.
