Abstract

A secure booting method performed by a battery management apparatus, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: in response to occurrence of a shut-down event, authenticating, on the basis of a designated algorithm, firmware stored in a memory of the battery management apparatus; storing an authentication result for the firmware in the memory; and in response to occurrence of a booting event, determining whether to proceed with a booting sequence on the basis of the authentication result stored in the memory.
