Abstract
A positive electrode active material includes a plurality of secondary particles (2), wherein each of the secondary particles (2) includes a plurality of primary particles (1), each of the primary particles (1) contains an olivine-type phosphate compound, carbon (5) is attached to at least part of a surface of the primary particle (1), a cross-sectional surface of the secondary particle (2) includes a first region (2a) and a second region (2b), the first region (2a) includes a center of the secondary particle (2), the second region (2b) includes a surface of the secondary particle (2), a minimum circumscribed circle of the cross-sectional surface of the secondary particle (2) has a radius of D, the first region (2a) is a circle including a center of the minimum circumscribed circle and having a radius of 0.5D, a relationship of 1.1 ≤ V<sub>1</sub>/V<sub>2</sub> is satisfied, the V<sub>1</sub> is a pore volume (cm<sup>3</sup>/g) in the first region (2a), and the V<sub>2</sub> is a pore volume (cm<sup>3</sup>/g) in the second region (2b).
