Abstract
A control device (30) is applied to a system including a motor having a stator (50) provided with stator windings (52) and a rotor (60) provided with field windings (70), and an inverter (20) electrically connected to the stator windings. The control device includes: an excitation current calculation unit configured to calculate an excitation current to be supplied to the stator windings, which induces field current in the field windings, and a switch control unit configured to perform switching control of the inverter to cause a composite current, in which the excitation current is superimposed to a fundamental wave current, a frequency of the excitation current being higher than a frequency of the fundamental wave current, to flow through the stator windings. The excitation current calculation unit calculates the excitation current including a lower frequency (fi-fr) component obtained by subtracting an electrical angular frequency (fr) of the rotor from the target frequency (fi) of the field current, and an upper frequency (fi+fr) component obtained by adding the electrical angular frequency to the target frequency.
