Abstract

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for enhanced security in a wireless LAN system. A method performed by a first station (STA) in a wireless LAN system, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: constructing additional authentication data (AAD) on the basis of one or more fields or subfields of a medium access control (MAC) header of an MAC protocol data unit (MPDU); and transmitting, to a second STA, a physical layer PDU (PPDU) including the MPDU configured on the basis of the AAD. The MPDU includes a message integrity check (MIC) field, and a value of the MIC field may be based on at least the AAD. The one or more fields or subfields of the MAC header may include one or more of a duration/identifier (ID) field or at least a part of a high throughput (HT) control field.
