Abstract
A communication method used in a mobile communication system for providing a multicast broadcast service (MBS) includes: starting, by a user equipment in an RRC inactive state, an RRC connection resume procedure with respect to a network node based on reception quality during multicast reception in the user equipment having deteriorated and/or the user equipment needing to acquire a multicast reception configuration from the network node; and transmitting, by the user equipment, an RRC resume request message including an information element related to a cause of an RRC resume to the network node. The information element is first information indicating the RRC resume related to multicast reception, second information indicating mobile terminated (MT) access, or third information indicating multimedia priority access (MPS) priority access.
