Abstract
Disclosed is a substrate support for a substrate processing apparatus, wherein the substrate support is configured to: support a substrate on a first side of the substrate support; receive fluid under pressure at a second side of the substrate support; and direct the fluid under pressure to edges of, and to openings in, the substrate to prevent a conditioning substance applied to a first part of the substrate from contaminating a second part of the substrate, wherein the substrate comprises a wafer clamp, a wafer table, or subcomponents thereof.
