Abstract
A separator 10 for removing particles from suspension in a fluid, comprising: an inlet 26a and an outlet 26b for fluid; a mesh 32 between the inlet and the outlet; a turbine 33 comprising one or more vanes 40 to allow a flow of fluid through the separator to rotate the turbine; and one or more brushes 42 or scrapers fixed to the turbine for removing particles from the mesh.
