Abstract

The present invention provides a gas separation system capable of supplying hydrogen gas to a consumer at a low equipment cost. The gas separation system according to the present invention includes gas separation devices (5) and a gas separation system management unit (11). Each of the gas separation devices (5) includes a gas acquisition unit (7) that acquires a mixed gas (4), a gas separation unit (8) that separates a gas to be used by a consumer (6) and a gas to be returned to a pipeline (1) from the mixed gas (4) using a hydrogen separation membrane, a gas supply unit (9) that supplies the consumer (6) with the gas to be used by the consumer (6), which has been separated by the gas separation unit (8), a gas discharge unit (10) that discharges the gas to be returned, and a measuring instrument (12) that measures a physical quantity of the gas. The gas separation system management unit (11) stores information about the consumer (6), and has an output item configured according to the type and application of the gas to be used by the consumer (6). The output item is a physical quantity of the gas output from the gas separation device (5). The measuring instrument (12) is installed at a different location and measures a different output item depending on the type and application of the gas to be used by the consumer (6).
