Abstract

A system for interrupting electro-writing of a polymer liquid from a print-head towards a main collector, the system comprising an auxiliary collector, different from the main collector, for receiving the polymer liquid on an auxiliary collection surface; and a displacement assembly configured to relatively displace the auxiliary collector and the print-head between a passive configuration, in which the print-head is arranged to deposit the polymer liquid on the main collector, and a reception configuration, in which the auxiliary collector intersects a deposition path from the print-head to the main collector; wherein, in the reception configuration of the displacement assembly, the auxiliary collector is continuously displaced relative to the print-head, such that the polymer liquid is deposited onto a continuously varying location on the auxiliary collection surface.
