Abstract

A sliding box packaging (10) comprising an outer sleeve (100), an inner tray (200) and locking means and a method of manufacturing the sliding box packaging (10). The closed sliding box packaging (10) is secured by the locking means, which is realized by engaging the inner tray (200) with the outer sleeve (100) to prevent the fully-inserted inner tray (200) from sliding, thereby preventing unauthorized access to the products. The sliding box packaging (10) is also child-resistant. To open the sliding box packaging (10), at least two activating tabs (102, 103) must be pressed simultaneously, thereby providing tamper-evidence against unauthorized opening, and making it substantially difficult for children to open. Thereafter, the inner tray (200) disengages from the outer sleeve (100), so as to permit sliding movement of the inner tray (200) to open the sliding box packaging (10).
