Abstract

A climate control system that includes a refrigerant compressor (26) and a muffler assembly (100) in fluid communication with a discharge flow path coupled to the refrigerant compressor is described. The climate control system further includes that the muffler assembly is configured to attenuate pressure pulsations in a flow of refrigerant emitted from the refrigerant compressor. The muffler assembly includes a plurality of radial resonators (120,121,122), where each of the plurality of radial resonators defining a volume in fluid communication with the discharge flow path that extends radially outward from an inner diameter of the discharge flow path and circumferentially about a central axis of the discharge flow path.
