Abstract

A wound iron core (10) is configured by winding a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet (11) in a rolling direction. A width of a shear region of the wound iron core (10) in a cross-section parallel to the rolling direction at a bent portion of a corner (12) of the wound iron core (10), within a region from a center of thickness of the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet (11) to an outer peripheral side of the wound iron core (10), is 100 µm or more and 400 µm or less.
