Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a negative electrode and a method of manufacturing the same. The negative electrode includes a silicon-based negative electrode active material together with a carbon-based negative electrode active material, thereby having excellent charge and discharge capacity, and has characteristics of excellent rapid charging performance since a magnetic field is applied during manufacturing, thereby reducing tortuosity of an entire negative electrode active layer. In addition, the negative electrode has advantages of excellent lifespan characteristics since low electrical resistance is uniformly maintained throughout the entire negative electrode active layer even when charge and discharge cycles of a secondary battery are repeatedly performed, thereby suppressing degradation.
