Abstract

A secondary battery and an electronic device are disclosed. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly and a tab. The electrode assembly includes a negative electrode plate. The negative electrode plate includes a negative current collector and a negative active layer disposed on at least one surface of the negative current collector. The negative current collector includes a first edge and a second edge opposite to each other in a first direction. The tab extends out of the electrode assembly through the first edge along the first direction. The negative active layer includes a first edge region provided with a plurality of first strip-shaped grooves. The first edge region covers the first edge and extends toward the second edge. In the first direction, the first edge region includes a first end portion located at the first edge and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion. At least one of the first strip-shaped grooves extends from the first end portion to the second end portion. A width of the first edge region is greater than or equal to 1 mm.
