Abstract
A trailed implement includes a tongue coupled to an implement structure and configured for attachment to a rearward end of a tow vehicle. A proximity sensor is positioned to detect data related to objects located within a field of view disposed forward of the implement structure. A controller configured to identify a rear ground engaging element of the tow vehicle from data sensed by the proximity sensor, determine a location of the rear ground engaging element of the tow vehicle relative to the implement structure, and communicate a vehicle control and/or and operator warning signal when the rear ground engaging element is within a pre-defined distance of the implement structure.
