Abstract
The present invention relates to a method (600) of calibrating grain loss on an agricultural machine (10) harvesting crop and includes initiating a grain loss calibration process (610) on the agricultural machine at a location in a field and receiving (612) grain loss sensor signals from sensors on the agricultural machine. The method also includes identifying the location (614) in the field by a geographic location sensor and sending a communication (616) from a control system on the agricultural machine to perform a grain loss measurement (618). The method may further include receiving the grain loss measurement (620) based on an inspection of grain loss at the location in the field and determining a grain loss calibration value (624) based on the grain loss sensor signals and the grain loss measurement.
