Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of skin treatment. In particular, it relates to a topical cosmetic composition comprising tranexamic acid encapsulated in a liposome and a non-therapeutic cosmetic method comprising the application to the skin of said topical cosmetic composition. The topical cosmetic composition can be used in the treatment of melanin or hyperpigmented spot, brown spots, hyperpigmented spots such as ephelides, melasma, actinic lentigo, senile lentigo and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In particular, the obtained results have demonstrated that, when topically applied, the composition advantageously improves the treatment of brown spots and/or hyperpigmentation spots.
