Abstract

The disclosure relates to a connection device (502) configured to connect a second vehicle (506) to a first vehicle (504) in an automated storage and retrieval system. The connection device comprises a support member (510) attachable to the first vehicle, and a bracket (508) engaged with the support member to have substantially free movement in a Z-direction along the support member. The bracket is configured to move in the Z-direction to connect the second vehicle to the first vehicle when the second vehicle is adjacent to the first vehicle, such that the first vehicle is capable of moving the second vehicle in the X-direction and the Y-direction
